So first, I had to do this online talent assessment that had two parts and about 200 questions. After that, I interviewed with the lead of talent. Then, I spoke with the managing director of consulting. The last step was an interview with my manager.

I started with an online assessment in October. It wasn't until December that I heard back for a phone interview, which I scheduled for the very next day. The interview itself felt a bit awkward, though they did mention that might be the case. You weren't allowed to ask any questions at this point.

I didn't make it past this one! Thanks! I really wouldn't have put myself through that kind of torture again. I've never felt so unable to be myself in an interview before. I pretty much knew what to expect, and the questions were good content-wise, which theoretically should have allowed for relaxed, creative, and intuitive answers. However, the atmosphere the interviewer created with her demeanor made it impossible to stay relaxed and authentic. This isn't about a standard interview; I've conducted standardized interviews myself and know what's important and the purpose. But there's no need to do it like THAT! A standardized stress interview doesn't really offer any quality advantage. But oh well, the positive thing is that I basically knew immediately that there was complete discord from both sides, so looking back after the rejection, I rate it as neutral. But maybe Gallup should rethink the requirements for Talent Analysts...
