Group Presentation

We had an online group interview with about 5-6 other candidates. We were asked to get ready to present a short activity like a game, song, or lesson as if we were at camp. A lot of the Galileo experience felt like forced fun or silly, but that's typical for summer camps.

Group Presentation Behavioral

It was a group and individual thing. I had to present a game or activity to the group and also act as a student for the other interviewees. The individual interview had more behavioral questions and they asked about my resume. The interviewer seemed really rushed and focused on taking notes.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Tell me about your experience working with middle schoolers.

So first you apply on their website. Then they'll call you in to one of their spots for a group interview and a one-on-one chat. In the one-on-one, they'll give you a situation and ask what you'd do. For the group part, you gotta come up with a teaching sample or a game, then play it with the other folks interviewing. It's about 2.5 hours total.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • What actions would you take if a fellow camp counselor seemed discouraged and disengaged?
