First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gainwell Technologies.
Business Analyst Intern
It was alright, the first interview was a 20-minute call with a recruiter where we discussed pay and some skills listed on my resume. About two weeks later, I had another interview with a more senior analyst.
- What makes you want to be a Business Analyst?
Business Analyst
Got an email about a phone screen, then it took 16 days and 4 follow-ups to get a scheduled time. No apology or explanation for the delay. The interview was strange, no camera, and the person sounded like they were in their car. Was told to reach out if no word in 2 weeks. It's been almost a month, multiple emails sent, and still no response from Perez. It felt like they already had someone in mind and were just going through the motions. A waste of time.

Business Analyst
I recently applied for a BA/PO healthcare role at Gainwell Technologies India, and I wanted to share my interview experience. The recruiter mentioned there would be three interview rounds: two technical and one managerial. Each interview lasted over an hour and involved two interviewers. All rounds focused on my healthcare, Agile, Scrum, BA, and PO knowledge, and they felt repetitive. In the final managerial round, the interviewers focused heavily on my current and expected CTC, and my preferred job location. I was clear about my expectations and mentioned my preference for remote work since I live in Delhi. However, they pushed for flexibility regarding relocation to Bangalore for a complete RTO, which I declined, though I agreed to visit the office occasionally at my own cost. They also seemed surprised by my salary expectation, despite it being in line with market rates and what the recruiter initially hinted. The male interviewer stressed the gaps between my jobs and my graduation year, which I explained were due to layoffs or project changes. They seemed to dwell on these points despite knowing them from the start. When they discussed hiring someone new and training them for long-term commitment, I emphasized my own need for a stable, permanent role. Following up, the recruiter stated I was rejected due to a lack of required skills, which surprised me as I had cleared the first two technical rounds focused on the exact same skills. I felt this was an excuse, possibly due to my upfrontness on salary, relocation, and job gaps, and perhaps my age inferred from my graduation year. It seems they conducted the entire process just to reject me on a pretext. I'm frustrated with this process and will be more cautious, preferring companies with a maximum of two technical rounds plus an HR discussion for experienced candidates.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Are you willing to relocate to Bangalore in the future if the company mandates complete RTO?
- Would you agree to visiting the office once or twice a year at your own expenses?
