The process was straightforward and welcoming. I was asked to arrive 15 minutes before my scheduled time and meet at the Jet blue ticket counter. Following that, I had a discussion with the manager and supervisor. They then guided me into the airport to provide a demonstration of their work operations.

I applied online and heard back about two weeks later for an in-person interview. It was a short interview, and they hired me right away. The next day I had a drug test, and after it cleared, I went to apply for the LAX Badge. That involved going to the badge office for a background check and fingerprinting, which took ages. Turns out, the job I applied for wasn't the one I ended up getting. Because they were short-staffed, they put me in Cabin Cleaning first, and then moved me to Provisioning within three weeks of starting.

I had an on-site interview. It was a quick process, basically to see if I'd fit the environment. The site manager liked my friendly and respectful phone voice, and I had the same demeanor in person. The interview is always face-to-face with the manager. The manager is new, so questions might differ. This is an airport, so even though I was called in within two days, there was a long security process afterwards.

  • How would you handle a situation with an angry passenger?
