Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I applied and got a call from HR for a phone interview. After that, they invited me for a face-to-face interview at their office. It was pretty chill, and they showed me around the startup-like office. First, I did a personality test where I had to rank character traits. Then, there was a critical thinking part where I had to design a network and discuss how to defend and attack it. Finally, I met two team members to talk about the daily tasks. I got offered the job later, which I verbally accepted. However, there were a lot of delays and disorganization with the post-offer process, like meeting with their financial analyst, and they never followed up. Thankfully, I had other offers.

Behavioral Technical Coding Presentation

I first spoke with two G2 recruiters at an employer panel who liked my resume. Lee Wanless then called me for a 45-minute phone interview about my personality, career goals, and background. They indicated interest in an in-person interview, which I scheduled for two weeks later due to my availability. The G2 office has a great, open, and collaborative atmosphere. The interview itself was non-traditional initially. Lee Wanless led a critical thinking exercise where I had to diagram security problems on a whiteboard wall. This was a free-flow activity, and other engineers sometimes joined briefly, seemingly to assess my ability to handle stress and multitasking. The next part was more traditional with 1-2 technical experts, discussing my resume in detail and assessing my familiarity with specific technologies. This involved a back-and-forth discussion with clear right/wrong answers. They also presented data sheets for me to analyze. Finally, Tom Shelly, the Manager for Mission Engineering, discussed the company's strategic vision, history, and opportunities for me to share my goals and philosophy. The entire process was very positive, giving me a strong gut feeling about the company culture and the sincerity of the people I met, especially Lee Wanless who offered ongoing support.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

The recruiter was super fast responding to the referral, emailing me back for an interview in about a day. The interview was scheduled for the following week. It was a bit over two hours, but really different, pushing me to think fast. The vibe was awesome – super relaxed, comfy, and fun. Saw things that obviously made it that way, like a Foosball table and remote control cars (plus, the interviewer rolled in on a scooter to greet me). The interview itself had three parts: first, a critical thinking challenge where I had to listen to a made-up situation and figure out the best solution; then, a technical interview with some fundamental Computer Science questions; and last, a project discussion where they asked standard interview questions and went over my resume, which was how I really got to know the company, what they do, and the work atmosphere. All in all, a weird but cool way for both me and the company to get to know each other.

First there was an initial call with HR. After that call I spoke on the phone with the Security officer. After both those calls I went to the office and met with three people separately, the manager, the managers counterpart and HR. All three interviews were not easy but the people were very genuine and wanted to make sure you knew your information as well as a good fit for the project.
