Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at G&S Business Communications.
Senior Account Executive
It included some practice materials and standard questions about your past experience. It wasn't super tough, but I'd still say it's smart to get ready for it. The people I met were really nice.
- Can you tell me about your years of experience?
- Why are you interested in financial services?
Account Executive
After getting called back, I was given an assignment. It involved creating a campaign, which included writing social posts, a press release, and client correspondence. Then, I had an interview with both a manager and a director.
- Can you tell me about your experience writing for B2B?
Account Executive
It was a phone screen where they asked a bunch of personality questions. Then there was an in-person writing test that was 2.5 hours. For the first 30 minutes, you had to edit a paper using an AP stylebook and answer 10-15 questions where you circle the correct word choice in a sentence. Then, for 2 hours, you had to do a news release, tweet/facebook post, client service, launch plan, etc. It's 5 parts and you get a prompt about a company that sells a household product. Brush up on your AP stylebook, this test is not easy and they want to see 85-100% accuracy.
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
- And what makes you want to work for this company?
