First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FXCM.
Operations Associate
It was one round, just with the hiring manager. They asked regular HR questions and made sure I knew the job duties. They also checked my personality to see if I'm a good fit for a backoffice role.
- Can you tell me about your CV?
Operations Associate
For a basic entry level job, there were a number of tests and then two interviews. One test was to check Excel knowledge, but the login didn't work on my terminal and it was super slow on the second one. It was tough to show computer skills when the system was so bad. I was interviewed by 3 senior managers who seemed like they were just going through the motions and weren't really interested in finding a good fit for the new employee, judging by their body language and questions.
- Can you share an example of a process you've improved?
Operations Associate
The interview was pretty straightforward, mainly checking language skills and understanding of the job. The interviewer asked me 4 questions, then scheduled a written test for the following week. I was told to use both English and Mandarin for the answers. She asked me to introduce myself, talk about the company and job details, and explain why I'm a good fit.
- Introduce yourself in Mandarin.
- What do you know about our company and the job responsibilities?
- Why do you believe you're a good fit for this role?
