Software Engineer Intern
It was a meeting with one of the people in the team. If you prepare well you’ll ace it. He was very kind and helpful throughout the interview. He will make small talk to make you feel comfortable.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- How would you handle technical scenario 1?
- How would you handle technical scenario 2?
Project Manager
First, there was a video screen where I had to record answers to five questions, some of which were technical. Then, I had a call with a recruiter where we went over more technically-geared questions. Next, I interviewed with the hiring manager(s) who asked technical and scenario-based questions. Finally, I had interviews with the VP and/or Director level, which were very technical. Throughout all the interviews, there wasn't much time for casual conversation, it was really a technical evaluation of my skills in every round. In my experience, not much opportunity for mutual rapport building.
- Could you describe what a project is?
- Can you describe the SDLC?
- What is the critical path?
Salesforce Consultant
The interview process kicked off with a pre-recorded video interview where I had to answer questions posed by software. Then, there was an HR round, also recorded, with some general questions. Following that, a technical person conducted another interview, which was also recorded, covering both general and technical topics. They seem to record every interview, perhaps for higher-up review. It felt a bit strange because I'd never experienced recorded interviews before, and the technical interviewer didn't even ask for permission. Maybe they weren't thrilled about the recording policy either. What really put me off, though, was after investing about 3 hours in these interviews, I heard absolutely nothing back for a month, despite sending two emails. I finally got a response after reaching out to their LinkedIn contacts. It's not just about landing the job; it's about basic respect. Ghosting candidates after multiple interview rounds is unbelievable. Wishing you all the best.
- Could you briefly summarize your experience relevant to this role and mention what particularly caught your eye?
- Tell me about a situation where you had to resolve a client issue without having all the necessary information upfront. How did you handle it?
- Explain the distinctions between profiles, roles, and permission sets.
QA Engineer Lead
So I had a screening call with the hiring manager first, and then two weeks later, I interviewed with a technical team member. They were good to talk to, and I could ask them questions and get answers. The last interview was with someone from the development team, but it wasn't run well. They recorded the interviews, but they started recording the first two interviews late, and the last one started recording 15 minutes late. They asked me questions from the beginning, and I answered them, but they weren't recorded. I guess they use the video recordings for evaluation. It was hard to connect with the interviewer, and many questions weren't phrased clearly. They also mentioned it was their first time interviewing anyone. It also took a very long time to hear back after each interview, from March 8th to April 24th.
