First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Furniture Row.
Sales Representative
It was very personal and it appeared they did not care about my work experience. The managers were nice an professional. 3 interviews that were about an hour each. Each interview was even more personal than the one before it. I am unsure if some of these questions are even allowed to be asked in an interview. Way over the top for an entry level sales job at a furniture store.
- Could you tell me about your family?
- Who were the most influential people in your life as you were growing up?
- Describe a time you made a mistake.
Sales Representative
They asked a lot of stuff that had nothing to do with selling, and I've got 10 years experience and still didn't get hired. I've got a lot of car business skills, and the quality of people looks like rejects. So if anyone is considering furniture row, just pass, you can do better.
- Are my parents still married?
- Do you have any kids?
- What does integrity mean to you?
Sales Representative
the interview process is long and thorough. they ask everything about your life; family, parents, childhood, mistakes, achievements, etc. it is very personal and grueling but i think it's good because they know exactly where to place you and who to place you under for leadership by the time it's over. they want to know you so they know how to help you succeed.
- How was your childhood?
- Tell me about your family.
- What were your parents like?
