So, I went through a few interviews. First, there was a chat with a recruiter to see if I was a good fit, and they mentioned they could also look at other openings if this one wasn't right. Then came a test to check my skills, which might differ based on the role. If I passed that, the last and longest part was waiting for a client to be interested in my profile, after which the recruiter would set up meetings with them. I ended up having 2-3 meetings before getting the offer.

I applied to FullStack Labs and went through a 30-minute phone screen. Then, I had to do a take-home 'certification' exercise where I built a small React app in about 90 minutes while recording my screen and talking through my approach. After they reviewed my submission, I got an offer, which I accepted. They then asked me to set up a Calendly for client interviews and asked for my T-shirt size. After that, I never heard back from them. I tried to follow up but got no response, which was frustrating and made me question if it was a scam. They did send me a t-shirt, though.

First, there was a video call with a recruiter. They asked me questions about myself and didn't leave time for my questions at the end. Afterward, they sent documentation about the company's process, which helped me find answers. I asked about the salary range, but the recruiter didn't provide it. Then, the rest of the process was asynchronous. My role was specifically for a React.js developer. One stage required me to record a video up to 70 minutes long implementing a specified page, plus 3 separate algorithm challenges (similar to Leetcode). The case and the three challenges are impossible to complete in the given time without preparation, but since you can record whenever you want, you can prepare beforehand to maximize your recording time. There was another video recording stage, on an online platform, where I had to answer about 15 questions within a time limit. Although different, the process was manageable, but it felt very impersonal, and the recruiter was slow to respond between stages (I waited over a week for updates at one point). The offer is a standard employment contract (CLT) but with minimal benefits. The salary itself is slightly competitive compared to other Brazilian companies, but considering the salaries of foreign companies (which they work with), the amount is significantly lower. This, combined with the lack of differentiated benefits, makes the offer unattractive.
