First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fullstack Labs.
QA Tester
After the recruiter call, they had me do an assessment where I had to record myself the whole time. It involved a self-presentation, answering specific questions with a time limit using a system, and also recording my screen share for a challenge. I finished it all on time, and the recruiter said I was doing well, but then I heard nothing back.
- Can you share your experience and past projects?
- What are your salary expectations?
- Do you have any questions about this role?
QA Engineer
It started with a recruiter call. Then there were 14 questions about QA and general topics, plus a code challenge, and I had to record myself doing both. After that, I had an interview with the client. I declined their offer because it was a lowball offer, the same as my previous job, not the 20% raise I was expecting. Also, I got a Senior position offer that paid more than my negotiated expectation and included PTO, which FSL doesn't offer.
- Can you explain the difference between load testing and performance testing?
Senior QA Engineer
It started with a standard HR interview to get to know me. Then, I had to complete two exams: one for knowledge and another for automation, which involved screen and video recording. After that, there was a long wait, about 5 months, but the HR team kept me updated throughout, which made the process feel transparent. Finally, I had an interview with the client.
- Tell me about your experience with automation using Playwright. This was part of a programming exam.
