Coding Technical Behavioral

It took over a month, starting with a coding challenge. After a few weeks, I followed up and got a call for a technical interview that lasted an hour and went well. Again, only after following up was I invited for an onsite interview. The onsite had multiple rounds, covering technical and behavioral aspects. I met with data engineers, a data scientist, a senior manager, and the CEO. It was quite long and went well overall. I felt I answered most of their questions and was positive about getting an offer, but after 10 days and a follow-up email, I received a rejection with no explanation. When I asked why, no reason was given. Their office is in NY, and it's a small office. The question domains included SQL, Python, Coding, and API.

Technical Behavioral Case

The entire interview process spanned four weeks. Initially, there were two phone interview rounds with current analysts. These focused equally on technical and motivational questions, and included business case scenarios. The final stage was an onsite interview lasting approximately 3.5 hours, where I met with eight employees, ranging from analysts to the VP and CEO. The atmosphere was quite positive, and everyone I met was very approachable.

Behavioral Technical Coding

It began with a casual HR call to discuss my background (education and work experience), salary expectations, potential start date, and availability for a technical phone interview. The next day, I had another casual chat with the director, focusing on the company's background and their expectations for the role. A few days later, I underwent a two-person phone interview where the focus was heavily on my technical abilities and my two most recent projects. The following day, I received positive feedback and was invited for an in-person interview. This in-person session involved four interviewers: a senior PM, a senior developer, a developer, and the Director. It included numerous technical questions and a short test, lasting about an hour. Afterward, I was invited to lunch. I got more positive feedback the next day, but the offer letter took seven days to arrive (due to bad weather at the office that week). Overall, the interview experience was great, especially the in-person part, where the interviewers were very friendly and made me feel comfortable. However, applicants should be well-prepared as the interview is quite technical and also tests analytical skills. Good luck!

Technical Coding Behavioral

The HR or the Recruiter I was working with let me down big time. As everyone knows, there was a storm / blizzard in New York on 4th of Jan, and that was when my interview was scheduled for. I could not get an Uber for a long time, and could not make it to the 9:00AM interview as there were no cabs to be found. I called the HR and requested her to reschedule the interview, and she asked me to reach their HQ within 30 minutes the same day or forget about the interview. 30 minutes from Piscataway NJ to 40th Street NY ? Insane! I drove from Virginia to New Jersey the previous night to attend this interview, and had invested a lot of time and effort to get this far (final round). I believe they might have had ended their search, and that's probably why the recruiter could afford to be so inconsiderate to me. If this is how things work at Fulcrum, I am really happy I did not continue with the interview. It would be a nightmare to be working with such people who will not consider even a snowstrom as a reason to reschedule an interview for a candidate in their final round who drove down 5+ hours for the interview.
