So for me, the interviews usually go like this: first up is a phone screen to see if I generally fit and have the basics. After that, there's a skills test to check my technical chops. Then, I have a more in-depth chat with the hiring managers where we talk about my past work, how I solve problems, and if I'd be a good fit for the team culture. It's a pretty thorough way to figure out both skills and how well someone would work with the team.

So I had two phone interviews and then an onsite. The first phone call was just about my background. The second one was heavy on technical stuff, tied to my research and the job. The onsite went well, I think I nailed the questions they threw at me. They said I'd hear back in two weeks, but I didn't get anything for three weeks, so I followed up. Turns out they hired someone internal from Fujitsu for the role!
