I had a video interview, then in-person interviews at Saint-Quentin-en Yveline. I interviewed with the sales director, then the marketing director. They didn't talk to each other and asked me the same questions! I declined to go back for a final meeting with the general manager because I felt the process was too long for a sales manager position. Also, I traveled 800 km for the in-person interviews, and they never reimbursed me as they had promised. No support was provided.

It was a long day of interviews, all back-to-back. Then, I had to do another half day of interviews because some people from different departments couldn't make it to the first round. That was the first and last time. I wasted two days of PTO on this. A third interview was scheduled, but I got another job offer. I took it because it was for the same title, similar pay, but better benefits, and that only took three 20-minute interviews. If 20 people from different departments need to weigh in on a mid-management role, that’s just not the job for me.

I was contacted by a recruitment agency who then passed me on to the company's representative in Italy. They were looking for someone to take over their job in my country, as they couldn't travel much due to the pandemic. Although they ultimately rejected me, we exchanged several emails afterwards. The person was really nice.
