First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FUJIFILM.
Marketing and Product Specialist
It was pretty straightforward. There was an HR call, then a first round with the hiring manager, and finally a technical demo round. It took about a month from when I applied until they reached out for an interview. They were friendly and gave me good feedback after every stage.
- Asked very specific technical questions about photography.
- Asked very specific technical questions about camera operating systems.
Sales Executive
This interview was a waste of time. I drove all the way there for just a 5-minute talk, and they showed no interest in hiring or interviewing me. The sales manager conducted the interview poorly and seemed untrained. Candidates should avoid interviewing here for this role. They should have just called me if they weren't keen to interview, not called me in person.
- Hi
- Okay, it's straightforward, I don't have any questions for you. Do you have any questions?
- I asked 2 questions and that was it.
Software Engineer
The process began with a recruiter call. They gave me info about the company and team, and asked about my experience and projects. Then, a technical interview was set up. We discussed my experience and current work. Surprisingly, most questions were about JS, even though the job description mentioned backend with Python, C#, and C++. I felt I wasted my time and just wanted it to end. The office environment seemed dated and unkempt, with a noticeable cigarette smell in the elevator, which might bother detail-oriented people. The interview's conclusion was the only positive aspect.
- Can you explain basic Object-Oriented Programming concepts?
- Could you discuss multithreading in .NET?
- There were many questions about JavaScript.
Commercial Manager
I had a video interview, then in-person interviews at Saint-Quentin-en Yveline. I interviewed with the sales director, then the marketing director. They didn't talk to each other and asked me the same questions! I declined to go back for a final meeting with the general manager because I felt the process was too long for a sales manager position. Also, I traveled 800 km for the in-person interviews, and they never reimbursed me as they had promised. No support was provided.
- Could you explain your interest in Fujifilm Medical Systems?
- What skills can you bring to our team?
- Can you tell us about your past successes?
