I applied online, and then a recruiter contacted me to set up a screening interview. After that, I had a small two-person panel interview. It was mostly questions like 'what would you do?' and 'how do you handle difficult clients?' which weren't too difficult. I did ask them about the company culture, their confidence in the development team, and their accomplishments, but they didn't seem very enthusiastic about their work.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview happened on zoom, and the recruiter was really nice. It felt more like a second meeting than a first one. A part of it was recorded, and if I had done well, it would have been shared with the team. It made me kind of nervous that they were going to record me answering logistical questions. At the end, they were upfront and said they needed someone with more technical skills who could start right away without much training. I didn't feel like the job description made this clear, as it didn't highlight needing a technical background and it was an entry-level role asking for 2 years of experience. They also mentioned the salary was in the 75-105k range.

I applied online and got an invite for a Google Meet with HR. They gave me the lowdown on the company, the gig, and how the interviews would go. This place has a pretty long interview process, like 5 rounds total, so it was good to know that upfront. We had a chill chat about my background and they asked a couple of questions for the role. I heard back a week later, but they were moving on with other folks because my background wasn't quite what they were looking for. Seems like a solid place to work if you've got the right background though.

Behavioral Technical

The interview was rushed and unprofessional, they even hung up on me. The job ad didn't specify tech experience as a priority, it actually emphasized agency professional experience. If you're looking for tech, say that upfront. They didn't review my resume, which clearly shows I don't have app experience. Next time, make it clear you're looking for a technical project manager and be honest in advertising to save everyone time. Also, try not to hang up on an applicant mid-sentence, it's rude.

  • How many years of experience do you have working in an agency?
  • Tell me about a recent project you really enjoyed working on.
  • What is your experience with app and website building?
