Marketing Manager
The interview process was very friendly and comfortable. They asked great questions and answered all of mine. I met with a lot of senior management, which could have been intimidating, but they didn't make it feel that way. I went through two interviews and was then offered the job.
- What is your motivation for applying to this specific position?
Marketing Specialist
The interview process was pretty smooth. They got back after just a day or two from applying and set up a phone screen. In that convo it was basically the recruiter talking about the position and the requirements then opened it up for questions. They asked for salary requirements and the best thing to say is "I'm open and would like the market rate, what's the range for this position?" Then, it was a call with the hiring manager where she went through my resume and background - pretty straightforward. After, it was an on-site interview. The good thing about it was they showed me the company site first which was great because it was nice to know it wasn't me selling myself to them but also them selling themselves to me. It was mutual. The process was all behavioral questions - they were given a list of questions to ask me from HR. It's important to have several examples in mind from previous jobs so you don't repeat stories. After the interview, the recruiter came in the room to ask if I'm interviewing with other companies, etc to gauge how interested I am in this position and probably to see if salary negotiation will occur. I got an offer the next day. They were able to offer me the top of my range.
- The interview questions were all behavioral questions so it is really important to have several examples in mind and use the STAR method.
- That's ultimately what they're looking for.
- Look up typical interview questions, relate it to an example from a previous job, and show them the result.
