Sales Consultant
I was emailed by a recruiter about a Customer Service Specialist role but I was more interested in a sales position at the company. I let the recruiter know and she said she mainly did support recruiting but offered to pass my info to the sales recruiter and answer my questions. She was really nice. A few days later, the sales recruiter called me and explained the job and what they were looking for. The pay was $40K base plus uncapped commissions, but she mentioned that new consultants have to work weekends and not-so-great hours until they showed they could sell. She then asked me some questions about my resume and we set up an in-person interview. The in-person interview had a short writing assignment with five questions, like what impressed me most about FrontPoint, how my sales strategy would help, and how their training would help me. After that, I talked with the sales recruiter one-on-one about my experience. She asked about what motivates me, why I wanted the job, why sales, and my sales strategy. She also asked if I had experience with professional metrics or KPIs and quantitative goals. It was pretty relaxed. Then she asked if I had any questions. The starting hours are tough: five days a week, working Saturdays and Sundays, with weekdays from 2PM-11PM and weekends from 11AM-6PM. The pay was good but the hours just wouldn't work for me and my desire for work-life balance. It might be good for a younger person wanting to make money though. The interview process was fast but complete. They should be clearer about the starting hours to save everyone time or change the hours to get more candidates.

Sales Consultant
I found the job posting on Monster and was contacted by a recruiter two days later via LinkedIn. They asked if I had time for a phone interview. Following that, the recruiter mentioned I'd interview with either the VP of Sales or the Sales Director, and I was scheduled with the VP. The recruiter also gave me specific answers to prepare. I drove to the interview, which required business professional attire, but struggled to find parking as employees were smoking and loitering in visitor spots. The interview lasted about 15 minutes, and I received an offer call two hours later.
- Are you okay with working every other weekend day, either Saturday or Sunday?
Sales Consultant
The interview process had three parts. First, there was a phone interview to get a good feel for your personality. Then, a second interview with an FP recruiter. Finally, a third interview with the company manager. You should get some tips in the second interview; if not, ask. These tips helped me get the job after my interview with management.
- Can you tell me about your sales experience and how it will contribute to your success at Frontpoint?
