My interview at Frontify was super positive, one of the best I've had. Everyone was so nice and genuinely seemed to love what they do and the company’s mission. It felt more like a chat than an interview, and I always felt respected. They were quick to respond, told me what to expect, and it really gave me a feel for the company culture and values.

The team was nice until the final round with the VP. He was super specific and cutthroat, asking really granular questions to understand every angle of my thought process. I get that a final test is important to show your skill set, but he seemed very self-important and rude. It felt like he was grilling me to find a reason not to hire me. I think a test assignment should gauge instincts and effort, not expect candidates to know everything about Frontify. Expecting a candidate to have 90 days' worth of company knowledge within the interview process is unrealistic, especially when they're currently working, interviewing elsewhere, and spending time on a test for Frontify. HR did mention the VP is a challenging interviewer, which was understated considering how disrespected I felt. It's a shame because the rest of the team was professional, nice, and seemed to have a lot of energy. Going from great interviews to that awful final round was disappointing.

It was a really thorough process, which involved meeting firstly with Lucien and Alaia. They were really personable and friendly and took the time to educate me about the role, as well as exploring my previous background and experience. I then had a 2nd interview with them, which went deeper into the specifics. Following that I had a third meeting with Wes and Sdu (at the time) and they were very inquisitive about my background and overall qualities. Following that I had a couple of phone conversations with Alaia, who was really helpful and subsequently offered me the role officially!
