A recruiter reached out and we had a brief chat, under 15 minutes. After that, I moved on to a case study review. I sent the recruiter a bunch of emails over the two weeks I was interviewing, trying to follow up, but never heard back. I thought I was being ghosted, and then I got this super generic rejection email that didn't even make sense. I got no support, even though I was referred. They just didn't communicate at all.

Had a phone interview to chat about my background and interests and why I wanted to intern at Frog. The recruiter told me about the internship program and what they were looking for. Then I had a portfolio review with 3-4 other designers. Before the portfolio review, I got an email with tips on what to focus on for the presentation. Lots of emails back and forth with the talent acquisition partner.

Behavioral Technical

I sent out applications to a bunch of studios. The ones not on the west coast were way nicer and kept me in the loop. The people in Austin were awesome! But the west coast studios were kinda weird and distant later on. Sometimes they didn't really tell me what they were looking for. One place, after I'd spent a ton of time interviewing and doing stuff for them, just sent me an automated email saying they picked someone else. Another place said they decided not to fill the role after all. Both of those experiences were pretty bad and made me think less of the company. It was handled poorly, and left a less-than-stellar impression.
