So the interview process basically kicked off with an on-campus interview with a partner. Then I had a callback interview, which was basically meeting four partners all in about two hours at their offices in NYC. The whole thing wrapped up in like two weeks. I heard back about the callback two days after the first interview, and the callback itself was the next week. Honestly, everyone I met, like from HR to the partners and even other associates, was super nice and really helpful in answering my questions and making me feel comfortable.

I had an interview with a group of about eight or nine lawyers. The questions were pretty basic, nothing too unexpected. But, one of the partners on the panel just didn't seem to connect with me, and that really set the tone for the whole interview. It felt like most of what I said in response to their questions, and the questions I asked them, got twisted around by him, which made it tough to really show why I was a good fit and qualified for the role.

I had an initial interview at the job fair, and then I was invited for a callback interview at their New York office. I went through several callback interviews, and I noticed that the people at Fried Frank were notably different. Everyone, from the attorney recruitment coordinator to all the partners and associates I spoke with, was incredibly warm and showed genuine interest in learning about me as a candidate. This stood in sharp contrast to my experiences at a few other law firms in New York.
