Product Designer
It was a great interview process. The timeline was really fast forward. Gave me enough time to prep, and be genuine. Hr was friendly and the Design team was really helpful.

Product Designer
The interview process at FreshBooks was a great experience overall. The recruiter was very organized and responded quickly. It started with a recruiter screening, followed by a portfolio review with a design peer and the design manager. Next, there was a case study where I had to create a presentation addressing a real FreshBooks problem, and then present it to some design team members. I also had a few extra conversations with the design team. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, and they clearly value design. It was a tough decision, but I ended up accepting an offer elsewhere. I'd still highly recommend FreshBooks to other designers.

Product Designer
The interview process was really quick. The recruiter was wonderful, no complaints there. I made it to the 2nd round which included a phone screen and then a portfolio review. I met with design leadership. About 1/4 of the interview time was taken up either talking more about themselves, asking me very little, or interrogating me about every single job I'd ever been at with prying questions and inappropriate requests that I go into more detail about why I chose to move on. This made the interview slot run way over, with very little time to present my case study. Out of all interviews I've ever had, this comes 2nd to being the worst. There was very little consideration to me as a candidate, with strong micromanagement vibes. Thinking back to the interview gives me anxiety. It was really disappointing because I loved Freshbooks from a product standpoint before. Now, not so much.
