The interview process was quite straightforward. I wasn't expecting it, but there weren't any complex case-study type questions. I ended up having 5 different calls and meetings with various people. My experience with everyone I spoke to was positive. The interviews mainly involved highlighting your past successes (your big wins) and giving specific examples from your role (like, 'tell me about a time when').

First, a quick 5-minute screening call with someone external to FreshBooks who couldn't answer any questions. They scheduled the next step while we were talking. Then, a 1-on-1 interview that lasted about an hour. After that, I was ghosted and got no response when I reached out. Hilariously unprofessional not to hear back after an interview, even though I wasn't interested in continuing.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

The interview process was quite good and moved along quickly despite having a few stages. It started with a 30-minute initial chat with a recruiter from the TA team. They were really good, asked some solid questions about my background, and were upfront about the pay. After that, I had a standard interview with the hiring manager where we went through behavioral and situational questions. The sales presentation to the manager and another team member was the trickiest part; doing well on it depends on being prepared and knowing how to highlight customer pain points. To wrap things up, I had two final interviews with a VP and a Co-Founder, which were more like casual conversations focusing on my personality, aspirations, and how I'd fit with the company culture.
