Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fresh Prints.
Recruiter
It was a 20-minute interview with basic get-to-know-you questions and questions about my past experiences. The interviewer seemed really disengaged, with their camera off the whole time. There were awkward silences because I had to wait for them to finish typing, and it just made the whole thing feel like I wasn't talking to anyone. They sounded really robotic and uninterested. It was a really bad candidate experience, honestly. I felt like I could have done a better job interviewing candidates myself. I just wanted it to be over.
- Could you share something about yourself that isn't on your resume?
- Regarding your previous experience, what were your daily responsibilities?
Recruitment Manager
It began with a video call, then a 1 hour aptitude/behavioral test. Next, I interviewed with a Manager who mentioned that weekend work might be necessary and discussed some targets that seemed unreasonable, with the numbers changing during our chat. The third stage is a 2.5 hour 'live project' where they want you to do some of their actual work. These were clear red flags, so I decided to withdraw from the process.
- How would you approach conversing with a coworker you dislike?
Recruiter
It was very smooth. The interviewing panel were professionals and made it very comfortable. The questions were easy and everything was easily accessible. The interviewer was very friendly and allowed space to talk about yourself and allowed to take some time if you needed to.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your past experience, and what you are looking for in this role?
- Could you share some details about your previous experience and your expectations for this position?
- What do you expect from this job, considering your background and experience?
