Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fresenius Medical Care.
Registered Nurse
A recruiter reached out. I had a phone screening with them, but then they ghosted me. It really only takes a moment to let a candidate know they didn't get the job. I don't get what's going on with recruiters these days, but it's super unprofessional and I wish they'd be held accountable!
- What makes you interested in dialysis?
- Could you introduce yourself?
Registered Nurse
So there was me, the clinic manager, the charge nurse, and the regional manager. We chatted for about two hours. They gave me feedback on my answers and how they thought I'd fit in. It felt more like a conversation to get to know each other than a formal interview. I came back the next week to shadow for three hours and then they offered me the job. I'm still calling it 'difficult' though because it was really involved, and if interviewing isn't your strong suit, you might want to get yourself ready for this one.
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement with a coworker and how you managed it?
- Describe a situation where you were asked to perform duties beyond your scope of practice and your approach to handling it.
Registered Nurse
I applied and a week later got an email to set up a phone interview. The phone interview went fine. The recruiter asked me some questions and then talked about the job. I also got to ask the recruiter some questions. It's been over a week and I still haven't heard back.
- What makes you want to pursue a career in nursing?
