First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fresenius Medical Care.
Quality Manager
The process was simple and easy to answer. The interviewers were friendly and attentive. During the wait, they kept me informed and I received the offer letter, which was clear and they were open to negotiation. Great learning opportunity.

Management
The interview process involved in-person and phone interviews, plus several rounds of questions with team members. I had to lead the conversation as questions weren't readily offered. The team seemed disorganized and uninterested. I was rejected based on a very odd personal assessment; they said I was 'too relaxed' with no further explanation, despite me looking professional, being engaged, and preparing with a practice interview. It felt highly unprofessional.
- Can you describe the type of role you are seeking?
Manager
I got a voicemail about a fake LinkedIn exchange, which seemed like a red flag. I called back and scheduled an HR interview for the next morning. During the call, I mentioned I'd spoken with the VP a year ago, who is no longer with the company (another red flag). The HR interview was supposed to start at 10 am, but I had to call them at 10:10 am because they didn't call me (red flag 3). The HR person didn't remember our appointment and said she'd call back in 5 minutes. 35 minutes later, she called back with a negative attitude (red flag 6). The interview was only 8 minutes long and the interviewer was adversarial, clearly looking for reasons to disqualify me (red flag 8). When I tried to discuss the job, her responses were passive aggressive (red flag 9). It makes you wonder if you'd want to work for a company that doesn't care about their public image or the impact of unprofessional behavior. I've already shared this with my professional network, and word gets around in the medical device industry in the Bay Area. People are being careful about joining companies that could harm their careers, and they'll probably avoid this one.
- Can you elaborate on your experience with startup companies?
