I had just one round with the director of the software engineering team I would be joining. It was a technical interview where they asked me a LeetCode question of medium difficulty.

Had a good initial screening with HR and the hiring manager, they talked about the role and team structure. Then I had a final round interview. The first interview was good, we introduced ourselves and then jumped into coding questions. The next interview was disorganized and rude, the interviewer didn't know my status and asked about prior interviews. I thought it would be similar and brief to get to coding, but we spent 40 minutes discussing a technology I barely know. The interviewer wouldn't accept my explanation and kept talking about it. With 15 minutes left, we started a python question. I solved it in <5 minutes. He asked for another implementation but missed crucial info needed for the variation. This interview was a waste of time. I wouldn't want to work here. They should ensure interviewers know candidate skill sets and backgrounds for final rounds. I was also told I'd be tested on SQL and didn't get any questions.

I was contacted by a recruiter, then had a phone chat that included some coding. After that, I went onsite to meet with a product manager and three engineers. Things seemed to go really well, but then I didn't hear back for a couple of weeks. I reached out for an update, and they said they hadn't made a decision yet. I waited another two weeks, and it was the same situation. After five weeks, I got an offer from another company and accepted it. I let them know I'd accepted another offer, and they insisted on calling the next day to say they'd decided not to move forward.
