First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Freedom Mortgage.
Mortgage Loan Officer
It was a pretty easy and straightforward process with no complaints. No team interview was involved, which is great for people trying to break into the industry. If you can sell a pen, you can sell there. There are good leads and opportunities for advancement for most people.
- How would you sell a pen?
Mortgage Loan Officer
After submitting my resume, I got an email three days later and spoke with a recruiter the next day. They set up a face-to-face interview which happened two days after that. I waited about 15 minutes, and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The interview was really relaxed, and the recruiter made me feel at ease. They asked typical interview questions like my experience, why I'm interested in Freedom Mortgage, and how I handle pressure. They also went over their expectations and what the next steps would be. At the end, I was asked if I could interview with the head of the department the following day at a different location. That interview was also relaxed, but the questions were more challenging. I heard back about their decision by the end of that day.
- Why Freedom Mortgage?
- Can you share an instance of dealing with a difficult customer and how you managed it?
- What unique value can you bring to this role compared to others?
Mortgage Loan Officer
The interview process had 3 stages. First, a recruiter call to prepare me for the next round and answer my questions. Second, was the most difficult round for me. Third, was less intense with questions and instructions on how to proceed.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
- What motivates you to pursue this position?
