I applied and they got back to me in a few days. I interviewed and was told I'd hear back on Monday, but it wasn't until Thursday that I got a rejection email on Friday. The assistant manager who interviewed me was rude and seemed judgmental of my answers, mostly wanting to talk about the culture. My sister applied and got an offer a week later, but they rescinded it about a week after that because of her holiday availability, even though it was August. It seems like they only hire for holidays, which is weird because they only seem to care about your availability during holidays. It doesn't seem like a great brand to work for; it feels like they just want to take advantage of their workers.

So the recruiter called and I was sick so I had to reschedule. We first agreed on 1pm Tuesday but I remembered I had an appointment, so we rescheduled again for 5pm Tuesday. When I got there, the vibe was off, she looked disappointed. On our way outside, she said, "So you just thought the interview was at 5pm and not 2pm?" I kept my cool and corrected her. She said, "Oh yeah, you're right, there's been a lot going on today." I found this to be unfair since she was wrong and I was sick. I decided I didn't want the job after that. She should have just said, "Hello, there may have been a misunderstanding..." At the end, I asked about their sales approach, "are you more aggressive or laidback in your approach?" She thought I was trying to get out of working hard. She responded, "We are not lazy here. There is always something to do. You'll never see us standing around doing nothing." I asked this because I've had jobs where I was told to, "Add it to the customers basket even if they don't need it." I don't agree with that. I explained that to her and her answer wasn't convincing. She said, "Oh, no we don't do that. But we do try our best to make goal." I feel like you can't make your goal without forcing customers to buy things they don't need.
