I sent in my resume and a creative project and then had to do an online interview using Hirevue. Questions showed up on the screen, some were normal, others were pretty unique. You had about 2 minutes to answer each one. It was pretty straightforward. Since it's Free People, they asked about travel. There was also a question about who you'd pick to promote the brand and how they'd do it. Make sure you know the brand and what it's about.

I got referred by a friend who works at the home office, so I chatted with a recruiter. They gave me a project where I had to make a mood board about upcoming spring fashion trends, highlighting five of them. Then I presented my findings. After that, I had three Skype interviews, the last one with the head of the department.

For the internship, you'll get a project based on your area of interest. Since I was interested in Buying/Merchandising, I had to create a trend board for Free People, one of the URBN brands. After sending in the project and resume, I got a link a few days later for the video interview, which was through HireVue. It was pretty simple and lasted about 10 minutes.
