The hiring process was not professional at all. I was kept waiting for an hour before my interview even started. To make matters worse, the interview took place in a public area. They also gave me wrong information about the pay and the schedule. When I got to the offer stage, I had to come in again to finish up paperwork and complete a drug test before my first day, and I wasn't even paid for that time.

Behavioral Other

I interviewed on-site with the location manager. It wasn't too tough; if you're eager to work and learn, you'll get the job. They have standard questions, but they're not hard and not strictly followed. There's a drug test and background check, and the regional supervisor has to approve you. I've seen some really qualified and nice people not get hired because the regional supervisor disapproved or the manager and prospect just didn't click. It can be heavily influenced by office politics.

I talked to the Store Manager first, then the Regional Manager. They wanted to see if I could sell and if I'd fit in. After they both said yes, I did a drug test and a background check. Got the offer a week later. The whole thing took about a month.
