Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
Working Student
The interview process was quite long, with several rounds and assessments, but overall it was a good experience. It allowed for deep talks and showed how much they care about evaluating candidates thoroughly. Every part of the process was well thought out, giving me chances to show what I can do and learn about working there. They really seem committed to hiring the best people.
- Can you explain Snell's law and how you'd help a child understand the speed of light?
Working Student
The interview process typically involves a lot of questions about your past experiences and the process was same like other job interviews. So make sure that you know what you did in the past.
- Can you elaborate on your past experiences?
- Could you describe your past projects?
Working Student
They generally asked about the technical things that you have done in the past and theoretical questions about the relevant job. Explain the details of your research and laboratory experiences. Then they asked why is this job needed (like why should the PV cells get laser cut). It was not so hard nonetheless, because they give hints whenever the interviewee gets confused.
- Why is laser cutting necessary for PV cells?
