First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Frasers Group.
Sales Assistant
It was a super chill process with just one interview. They asked about the company’s values and why I wanted to work there. Then they asked about my previous experience in retail or hospitality. After that, they talked about the company. My advice is to research the company a lot before you go in.
- What are the company's values?
- Why are you interested in working for this company?
- Can you share your past experience in retail or hospitality?
Sales Assistant
It’s a standard interview process. You get the email to arrange an interview, you go in and are probably asked to wait 20 minutes for someone to come and get you, then you are subject to the usual retail interview questions. After the interview, you’ll get a call or email offering you the job and arranging an induction day to fill out all the paperwork and do some basic “till training”, which unless you already know the system isn’t sufficient enough at all. My induction was four hours, 11-3pm and there was no offer for water or food or bathroom breaks.
- Please state your strengths and weaknesses.
- Can you recount a time when you had to overcome a difficult situation?
- Tell me about your previous experience and any similar roles you have held.
Sales Assistant
I had a 1-on-1 interview. They asked me stuff about how I'd sell something and how I'd help keep the store safe. I talked about suggesting something similar if we were out of the item they wanted, to try and still make the sale.
- Have you ever been to a Flannels store?
- Describe how you would sell an item to a customer.
- What steps would you take to ensure store security?
