First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FPI Management.
Property Accountant
So after I got through the phone interview, they had me come in for an in-person interview at their office. The final part was this panel interview where I met with people from different departments. They mostly wanted to see how I work with others and fit into the team. I also got to ask them about what it's like to work there and what they expect.
- Can you explain the difference between cash and accrual based accounting?
Leasing Consultant
The interview process was smooth. After an initial call, scheduling was easy. They asked about my typical daily tasks and career aspirations. The interaction was professional, and I was told I'd hear back soon. I was then offered the job and had to complete a drug test. Once the background check and drug screen were clear, I was ready to start.
- Describe how you manage conflict within a team environment.
Training Specialist
The first step was a phone chat, which felt more like a relaxed conversation about goals because the interviewer was so energetic and informative. After that, I had a face-to-face meeting with another team member. We did a basic skills test, both on paper and using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Then we talked more about what the job involves and my career aspirations. Naturally, they asked why I was looking to leave my current position and for an example of a challenging situation I've encountered.
- Can you share an instance where you made an error and explain how you fixed it?
- Tell me about your career goals.
- What are the key responsibilities of this role?
Manager
The phone interview went really well, super positive vibes. But the actual in-person interview was something else. The moment I walked in, I knew this place wasn't for me. The receptionist just sat there behind her desk, typing away. Didn't even look up or say hi, or ask how she could help. I had to initiate by saying hello, and still got nothing back. I then said who I was there to see, and she made the call but didn't bother to tell me she'd be out in a bit or to have a seat. I felt so disrespected. If that's how they treat people at the front desk, I can only imagine the rest of the team's attitudes. I really don't want to be associated with a company like that!
