Fox Corporation Interview Questions
& Process

I applied online and didn't hear back for ages. Then, in mid-June, I got an email to set up an interview, which we scheduled for later that week. It was a quick 20-minute Zoom chat with my future manager. She asked pretty standard questions about my interests and experience. By the end of the week, HR called to offer me the position. It was a really short and different process compared to other internships I've interviewed for.

The recruiter who reached out wasn't very welcoming, and I got a weird vibe that she was trying to get info about my current employer. When I asked about the company culture, her response was basically, 'It's inclusive and people are nice.' Then, I was supposed to interview with two hiring managers, but two different people showed up. The interview itself went okay, but then I heard absolutely nothing for a whole month. I ended up withdrawing my application because I wasn't interested anymore and figured I was probably overqualified anyway.

So I got contacted by an agency, then had a quick screening call about my general fit. After that, there were 5 rounds in total. The first four were in-person on the same day, covering problem-solving, domain knowledge, and system design (both HLD and LLD). The fourth one was kind of spur-of-the-moment and just for me, with the hiring manager discussing team management and soft skills. The final round was a week later, remote, with the VP, just a get-to-know-you chat about my experience and projects. After all that, they went silent. I emailed a bunch, and HR finally got back saying they chose other candidates. I feel like they should've given feedback, especially since I made it to the last round and interviewers said I did well.

Had an initial screening call with a 3rd party recruiter. Then, there were 4 main rounds. The first was focused on PM skills, involving case studies and guesstimates, which was a great round with a talented interviewer. The second round was about collaboration with engineering, where I had a discussion with an Engineering Manager (EM). It included a live case study to explore how a PM would scope things down, communicate, and what factors they'd consider. The interviewer seemed a bit confused, possibly a new EM, but I got through it. The third round was a basic discussion with the VP of Engineering about my interests and other general topics, with no technical questions. Unfortunately, I didn't get through this round, which might be due to some preconceived notions of the interviewer, though I'm sure they had their reasons. I didn't make it to the fourth round, which was with Product Leadership. The whole process took about 90 days.
