First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Four Seasons.
Receptionist
I had a phone interview where they asked why I wanted to work for them. Then I went in to meet with HR and was asked to bring an updated resume, even though it was on my application. I was expecting to meet with department managers, but that didn't happen, which was kind of surprising.
- Why are you interested in working here?
- Can you describe a situation you encountered?
- Are you familiar with typical interview questions?
Receptionist
It took about a month and 5 interviews to get hired, but everyone was really nice. I met with HR, the Assistant Director, Manager, Director, and then the GM. They all asked similar questions using the STAR method. Each interview was short, under 10 minutes after I got taken back. It was annoying though, because the managers kept 'forgetting' I was there and I had to wait over 30 minutes for each interview after I arrived.
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with an angry customer?
Receptionist
I was initially contacted at a career day at my university by representatives from FS, who then invited me to their recruiting day at a hotel. At the recruiting day, I had brief meetings with each department manager. Following that, I interviewed with the General Manager, where we discussed their feedback on me from the department managers and my career aspirations. I received a job offer on the same day.
- How do you handle stressful situations?
- What action would you take if a guest were to...?
- What are your long-term career goals for the next five years?
