It was a great conversation and seemed genuine. I recommend 100% to those looking to work during the four seasons. The interviewer made me feel calm and I learned a lot about the company in the process.

So the interview was structured like this: First, there were about 5 or 6 of us together for a company presentation. Then, I had my first one-on-one with the person who invited me to this open day. If you passed that, you moved on to talk with the front office manager, which was entirely in English. If you were successful there, the next step was an interview with the Room Division Manager. Finally, there was a closing interview with the head of HR. After that, I said goodbye to everyone, even the director, and left. They told me it would take no more than two weeks to hear back. About a week later, they asked for a contact from my previous job so they could speak with my former front office manager. Then they kept me hanging for three weeks, occasionally updating me that they were still seriously considering my application. After three weeks, they called to say they'd had internal issues and had to pause applications for now. I'm not sure I believe that, as it wasn't the only major place in Florence that gave me a similar response. It's been almost two months, and I still haven't received any response, positive or negative. But if they ask for references and everything checks out, they should at least give you an answer. Honestly, I wouldn't want to work for a company that claims to be a top global hospitality player but behaves like this – it's unprofessional. If you expect professionalism from me, I expect it from you too. 'That's how the world works.'

I spoke with a few people. They made a lot of promises that they didn't keep. I found out from other employees that this is a common thing. They talk about opportunities and growth, but they always have an excuse when it comes to our future with the company.
