First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Forward.

This felt like a full induction into a praise and worship session for the company's mission. Instead of asking technical questions relevant to the role, they spent 5 hours trying to suss out some sort of alignment with their mission, which was not even fully articulated or explained. I did not get the impression that this company was going anywhere; they did not seem like they had product market fit or that people were working on something that they believed in. No one could give me a straight answer about the value they would actually deliver to patients, just a lot of vision woo woo stuff. I'd stay away.
- How do you connect with our mission?
Analyst
This was the longest and most exhausting interview process I've been through. It started with a 30-minute intro call, followed by two back-to-back behavioral interviews. Then there was a take-home case study that led into an in-person presentation. The final stage was an on-site interview where I met with the team lead, head of operations, and CEO. Mission alignment is crucial at Forward; people join because they want to revolutionize the healthcare industry and make it accessible to a billion people. If this isn't your motivation, it's probably not the right fit. For the case study, expect it to be more of a Q&A about your analysis results rather than a formal presentation. Thinking through potential questions and being prepared is key. Prior knowledge of the topic helps but isn't necessary. During the onsite, be ready for the CEO to ask why you want to work there, and anticipate more intense interviews with senior staff. Be confident, passionate, and authentic. Also, wear comfortable shoes as they sometimes conduct walking interviews.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Forward?
- Is it more important to you to work on something that benefits the world greatly or something that is personally interesting to you?
Analyst
I had an onsite interview with several people, including the hiring manager. They were all really nice and happy to talk about the job. When I asked about the work environment and any problems they're having, they were very upfront. I felt it went pretty well, overall I'd rate the interview process a 7 out of 10.
- Can you tell me about a time you made a process better?
