Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fortress Investment Group.
Intern
The interview process was really smooth and the interviewers were friendly. It wasn't very technical, more focused on getting to know me and my personality. They asked about my prior experience and technical skills, like Microsoft Excel and coding.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- Describe your previous experience.
- What programming and software skills do you have, for example, in Excel or coding?
Intern
It was mostly generic questions asked, in a very friendly and enthusiastic environment. There was a question about a case study and lots of conversation. Each interview was about 1 hour to 30 minutes. Questions were asked about skills and experiences listed in the resume.
- Could you introduce yourself and tell me what you hope to gain from this internship?
- Tell me about yourself and what you're looking to get out of this internship.
Intern
It was one interview with the person you'd work under. They only asked fit questions since I had no finance experience and was a freshman in college. Honestly, the only way to get an internship in the SF office is if you know someone. There's no formal application process.
- What motivates your interest in this role?
