Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fortress Investment Group.
Associate
It was a pretty standard interview process. I started with a phone screen with HR, and then I had a Zoom interview with a couple of team members. After that, I did an Excel case study and then was invited for an in-person super day.
- Can you give me an overview of your resume?
Associate
The interview process involved 3 rounds. I met with around 10 people from the firm before receiving an offer. The first round was meeting the team members, the second round was a case study, and the third round was a C-level interview.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
- Tell me why you're interested in this role.
- What are your thoughts on your past work experience?
Associate
Had a phone call with the MD. She asked about my deal experience and how interested I was in Fortress. Standard interview questions, really. I asked her about the group and what they're aiming for. Apparently, they're trying hard to grow the team because there's "excessive dealflow."
- Tell me about a healthcare deal you've handled.
