First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at FORTNA.
Electrical Engineer
I had a screening round first, and then they said they would call me to let me know when the next interview would be scheduled. It took about two weeks for them to get back to me. They asked me questions based on my resume, and I answered to the best of my abilities. I got a rejection email for the next round.
- Can you elaborate on a specific project or task from your previous employment?
Analyst
I had 4 interviews for this role. They were all online, with 3 conducted via video call and one over the phone. The first two interviews went really well and were pretty straightforward. The third one was a bit strange because the interviewer wasn't in a role directly related to this position and had only been with the company for about a year. The final interview was with someone who worked remotely and didn't seem to have any direct connection to the job I was applying for.
- Can you share an instance where you took charge of a project?
Project/Product Manager
Sketchy recruitment process. Cannot recommend this company. Their recruiter(s) were no-shows on at least one occasion - no call, no email, no nothing. Their internal coordination was bad - they had other, unfamiliar team members reach out by SMS (!), for example, about scheduling meetings that had already been set. They didn't outline the recruitment stages at all. Poor communication and follow-up. The process took 6 weeks for two interviews.
- Where do you envision yourself fitting within the company?
Field Service Estimator
I had a quick phone chat with the recruiter, then a hour-long interview with the manager. I felt I was super qualified and the experience was great, possibly the best I've had in my 10 years in the field. I sent a follow-up email to the manager afterward but got no reply. After a week with no word, I followed up with the recruiter, still nothing. Three weeks later, I sent another email to both, and still no response. Finally, 5 weeks after the interview, I got an email at 2 am on a Wednesday saying I was no longer being considered. The job was posted for over a month and then stayed up for 5 weeks after I applied. This company's communication is terrible and disrespectful. I have solid experience but will never apply to Fortna again.
