First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fortitude Systems.
Business Analyst
I got a really polished recruiter call first. They quickly figured out I was more technical than functional, unlike other recruiters who call about functional roles that don't match my daily tasks or salary needs. This call was a breath of fresh air. The recruiter dug into my past and previous roles, understanding my technical work and what I enjoyed. They rapidly identified a position that would suit me. The short in-person meeting at the VA office was also good. We discussed the role more deeply and got to know each other in about 15-20 minutes. I appreciated their directness and efficiency.
- Can you show me how to write a SQL query to identify employees earning 10000 or more?
Business Systems Analyst
I was first reached out to by a main staff member after they saw my resume for an initial interview. It was about a 20 minute phone call and then I was told that his manager would contact me the same day or the next. The manager did contact me that afternoon, if I recall correctly, and asked me more about my experience and what I was looking for.
- What is your understanding of the SDLC?
- Could you share how you apply your knowledge of the SDLC in your current role?
Business Systems Analyst
The hiring process was straightforward. I had a quick chat with the recruiter, and then spoke with the account executive who liaises with their client (my current employer). After that, we met up in person for coffee, and they arranged an interview for me. The offer came the very next afternoon, and I started about a week and a half later.
- How would you approach a scenario where a customer's request is not in their best interest?
