Got a recruiter call out of the blue who was very interested in me flying out to their DC office for an in-person interview day. After speaking with the recruiter, I agreed to fly out and book it, with reimbursement promised within 5 days. It took over a month and lots of nudging to finally get reimbursed, with the recruiter not providing tracking info when asked multiple times. The interview day was 14 hours long with 25+ interviews for about 15 of us. Around 6 of us were invited to a happy hour afterward, which we were told basically guaranteed a job offer. The rest of us were just told the process was over. The happy hour involved even more interviews. A few days later, I got a post-interview questionnaire requiring about 5 pages of paragraph answers. After completing it, I was told I'd get an offer in a day or two. A week went by, then nothing. I reached out with no response. I called daily for about 2 weeks and finally got through to my recruiter, who just said if I hadn't heard back, I wasn't selected. Out of the 15 people who flew out, not one person was offered a position. I strongly suspect this is a scam, and the position is actually recruiting, not account executive.

They found me on LinkedIn and then came to my campus for an informal meeting. After that, they invited me to their office for an onsite to meet the staff. The main goal of this interview process is to assess your personality and see if you fit their work culture. I thought their process could have been more professional and less obvious about who got the job. Even though I was at the full-day interview, I knew from the start I wouldn't get it. The interviewers in the last few rounds seemed disinterested and annoyed. If you get invited to their happy hour at the end of the day, you're pretty much guaranteed an offer; otherwise, they send you home. A notable observation was the lack of diversity; I saw only about 4-5 women among at least 30 employees.

It is a three step process with the first being an informal phone interview. The second step is a face-to-face which was very relaxed. The third step is a full day interview at one of their offices.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • The face-to-face was an open-ended conversation.
  • They didn't ask any tough questions.
  • It was more for them to see if you are the right fit for the company.
