I had a good chat with the folks at Fortis Games. They really took the time to go over the company's background, what they stand for, and where they're headed, so I got a solid picture of their goals. The team also broke down the job, explaining what I'd be doing and what's expected. Something that caught my eye was how much they stress KPIs and hitting certain 'numbers.' It's a bit different from how I've tackled similar jobs before. I'm fine with working towards targets, but the strong emphasis here was definitely a change from my past gigs. All in all, it was a useful discussion, and I learned a lot about the company and the position.

I was reached out to by the recruiter and we had a good conversation about the role. After that, I interviewed with the hiring manager in NYC. It seemed to go well, but then I never heard back and got no feedback. Super unprofessional.

So I had this call with the recruiter on Thursday, June 30th. She said she'd send over some assignment details within 30 minutes, but nothing came. I emailed her on Friday asking for it, no reply. A week later, I emailed again, assuming it was off since I hadn't heard back. And guess what?! She finally replied saying she was on holiday for the 4th of July! Hahaha, it's wild how that's the excuse, right? Like I'm supposed to overlook the lack of communication because she was celebrating! Good for her! For a tech company, you'd think they'd have basic auto-replies. Really disappointed with Fortis, especially their talent acquisition team. I wouldn't recommend working with them.
