I was emailed by a technical recruiter and after some back and forth, I went in for an interview. It was a few hours long. I met the entire team and even went to a company lunch presentation. It gave me a really good vibe about the culture, work environment, and team dynamic. I was asked to come up with a plan to improve the offer process beforehand, and I presented that. The rest of the interview was spent talking about HR stuff like processes, procedures, philosophies, and ideas for future projects. The interview was super transparent and made me feel confident about accepting the offer.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process started with a 30-minute phone screen, followed by an onsite interview. For the onsite, I had to bring my recruiting project, which felt like free labor. While the people were nice, there are issues within the recruiting department. One interviewer mentioned that many direct hires come from employee referrals, suggesting the company isn't well-known. It was also unsettling that the department head wasn't involved early on; less experienced people conducted the first round. It's frustrating when interviewers say they struggle to hire people, and the 'solution' is to bring in experienced recruiters to fix things. Very disorganized and embarrassing.

Behavioral Technical

I got to the final interview round. The team was really nice until the last interview. About 10 minutes in, the interviewer became really cold and dismissive, like she already decided against me and just wanted to finish up. I know everyone has bad days, but for a final round, I expected more courtesy. I was rejected by email after 3 rounds and didn't hear back when I asked for feedback.
