Behavioral Technical

You can find GA opportunities by emailing professors teaching relevant courses with your resume. Or, you can submit your resume to the admissions office and wait for a reply, which is usually more efficient. After that, you'll attend interviews and meet professors who are looking for assistants in person. It's usually best to wear a suit to show respect, but some professors prefer a less formal approach. There's only one interview round. The main goal is to show the professor that you're easy and comfortable to work with.

It was mostly behavioral questions and a check on my skills. I had to show some skills in Excel and PowerPoint, using simple formulas and making presentations. The person interviewing me was nice and helpful. They knew I wasn't great at Excel and said they'd teach me if I got the job.
