First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ford Motor Company.
Analyst
It was a great experience, the manager was very thoughtful and respectful and made me feel comfortable. They asked a few questions about my past experience and importantly about what I was expecting for my future and what I would contribute to the company.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- What are your expectations for this role?
- What is your academic background?
Senior Analyst
The interview process consisted of 3 rounds in total: a case study, a technical round, and a behavioral round. Each round lasted approximately one hour. Results were communicated on the same day. The interview was very challenging and covered many aspects, with a lot of grilling.
- Could you explain how to calculate NPV?
- What is break-even analysis?
- Can you discuss different cost-related aspects?
Analyst
They started by sending me four long documents to translate, two from German to English and two from English to German, with a strict one-hour time limit. After that, a German specialist called me for a 10-15 minute conversation entirely in German, where she asked me to introduce myself and discuss my work experience to assess my language skills. The next step was an in-person panel interview at the company office with that German specialist and two managers from operations. This was a tough session where they questioned me extensively about my previous role, work challenges, reasons for wanting to join Ford, and my strengths. During this, the German specialist spoke with me for about five minutes, further testing my German proficiency. I found it particularly irritating that they repeatedly asked about my marital status and future marriage plans. I also noted their 10-hour shift structure, which includes 9 hours of work and a 1-hour break, which seems unusual. The interview was scheduled for 9:00 AM, but I ended up waiting until 3:45 PM, by which time I was so drained that I felt uninterested in proceeding. They also asked for background check details.
- Can you share any suggestions you made for process improvements in your previous role?
- Describe your most significant accomplishment in your last position.
- Could you please tell us about yourself?
