You'll be interviewed by 3-4 people, typically the store manager for the position you're applying for, the district manager, and the talent coordinator. You really need to sell yourself and be able to act fake like everyone else. They don't check your education or past employers, so you could lie and they wouldn't find out. They used to do background checks, but I think they got in trouble for doing it without people knowing. Basically, if you have any convictions other than a DUI or DWI, you won't get hired. They might say they're an EOE, but they aren't, because HR might tell you they're sure you could find someone more qualified and that you decided to go with someone with more experience.

I was already with the company in middle management and looking to move up. The posting for the Store Manager position came up on our company's intranet and I put my name in. I was selected for an interview and that consisited of a panel session of three interviewers. I was asked a series of questions from each person that dealt with job performance, financial performance, associate development, standard practice, and future outlook. The setting was very relaxed and the conversations were casual. I was then called back by the District Manager for a follow up phone interview with some extra questions from the initial interview. A few days later, I was called and offered the position.

I interviewed with a panel of 4 Store Managers which was very basic. There were no situational based questions. They all focused on what if questions and management style which all tended to be very easy. 2nd round: Interview was with two District Managers and it was similar to the first and I felt very confident after that. After that 2nd round interview I thought I would receive an offer but I found out that I had to interview with the Regional Manager. This interview was a little more detailed but was not overly difficult. My only suggestion for anyone interviewing is if there are no behavioral questions asked, you should answer using STAR format. This will usually amaze them as I was able to land the job.
