First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Fonterra.
Intern
The interview process felt really thorough. They asked a lot of questions about different scenarios and company values. It was great because the interviewer gave good feedback and seemed genuinely invested in helping me succeed. They got back to me quickly, but ultimately, I didn't get the offer.
- If you could be a product, which one would you choose?
Internship
It was a pretty long process with an online test that included Math and English. After that, I did an online voice interview, which was good because I could redo it as many times as I wanted. Then I had an in-person interview and background checks. The whole thing was okay, but Fonterra was a bit unprofessional. They didn't tell me if it was a practical or professional internship, which was confusing. Also, I got a lot of emails saying I'd moved on, even before finishing the previous steps. I even got an offer, but then they said it was a mistake and I was rejected. It was fast, but I felt messed around by the end.
- What would you imagine a typical day at Fonterra to be like?
- Could you introduce yourself?
Intern
The interview process involved multiple levels, including psychometric tests, a video interview, and an all-day assessment centre. The assessment centre had three main components: a monitored group discussion where we debated a topic after reading about it and our behavior was observed, a 2:1 interview, and a presentation followed by questions.
- Given a case study, describe how you would handle the situation.
