It started with a Google doc screen asking about GPA and university. Then there was an IQ test (Math, logic, english) that was above average difficulty but not too hard. Next was a Hackerrank technical test with 2 easy leetcode/hackerrank questions. The first technical on-site interview asked surface level questions about OOP, Databases, and Problem Solving (algorithms). The second technical on-site interview focused on whiteboarding OOP questions and scenarios from a practical angle, had an in-depth database discussion (mostly relational databases and normalisation), and included 2 easy level algorithm design questions.

Technical Coding Behavioral

I applied and the whole thing took about a month. I had 3 technical interviews, a screening round, and then 2 assessments. Once I passed those, HR did reference checks and made an offer. The offer was way lower than I expected and what we discussed initially, so I turned it down. HR said they'd talk to management about revising it. The next day, they called to say the job was filled internally. They mentioned I'm still a priority for future roles. It was disappointing to put in so much time for this outcome, and it felt like they could have been more upfront about the possibility of it being filled internally. It would have been more respectful.
